Some teens can’t wait for high school and some fear it. I know going to high school was one of my biggest fears.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a great high school experience freshman and sophomore year. I decided junior year that I couldn’t take all the bullying in regular school anymore so I am now homeschooled.
Well, I am now a senior so I had my ACT (for college), and I had to take it with all the people I went to school with. That made me want to write this for anyone in that kind of situation!
Here are some tips on how to survive high school!
1)Focus on your grades! As much as you don’t think they matter grades are extremely crucial to getting a good job or going to college.
2)Be Yourself! I was to busy with what everyone thought of me than anything in high school. When I didn’t fit in I became depressed and just decided to go to homeschool to be myself.
3) Do your homework! Every teenager thinks homework is stupid and doesn’t help you. Homework helped me understand a lot of the concepts I didn’t understand in classes.
4) The “POPULAR” people are going to wish they were friends with you when you have an amazing career and they can see what a great person you are. The only thing that matters to these people right now is social status and as soon as high school is over that all gets thrown away!
5) If you are being bullied tell your parents! Your school might not do anything about it, but most parents do.
These tips are all based on the experiences I had freshman and sophomore year. Honestly, it is completely different for each person these are just my opinions of what happened to me!
I hope this gave you some advice if you are having trouble.
